Engage / Lifecycle
Lifecycle-moment outreach
Birthdays, VIP milestones, expiring offers — the moments most brands blast become conversations the customer can act on.
What it does
Every customer base is full of calendar moments: a birthday, a loyalty milestone, an offer about to expire. Most teams handle them with one-way blasts — or, for top customers, with a VIP team writing messages by hand. The agent turns each moment into a conversation instead: a birthday greeting that opens a gift-picker chat, a VIP bonus delivered personally without anyone typing it, a heads-up that trade offers expire tomorrow with help reviewing them right there. This is incremental revenue by design — purchases and redemptions that would not have happened on their own.
How it works
- 1Trigger. a time signal — birthday, signup anniversary, tier milestone, offer-expiry timer — combined with what this customer actually buys, plays, or uses.
- 2Decision. the agent picks the treatment from memory: which gift or bonus fits this customer, which channel they actually answer on, whether they were contacted recently. Every unprompted message passes a quality judge before it goes out.
- 3Action. a conversational opener on chat, push, email, SMS, or WhatsApp, with the bonus, gift options, or expiring items attached and actionable in the same thread; anything paid completes through a secure hand-off to the client's existing checkout.
- 4Follow-through. VIP sends a human team used to write by hand are drafted automatically, with human review where the client wants it; redemptions and replies write back to the CRM; stale moments — offer already used, account lapsed — are cancelled before they send.
Configuration
How the agent is wired for this use case.
- Loyalty / CRM system · reads tier, milestone, and reward data; writes redemptions and replies back.
- Memory layer · picks the treatment (gift, bonus, channel) from purchase or play history and recent contact.
- Messaging channel · sends the conversational opener with bonus, gift options, or expiring items actionable in the thread.
- Commerce backend · completes any paid redemption through a secure hand-off to the client's existing checkout.
What you need
The inputs this use case runs on. Your channels stay yours; the agent supplies the judgment.
Signals
customer dates (birthday, anniversary), tier and milestone events from the loyalty system, offer-expiry timers.
Data
purchase or play history to pick the right gift or offer, tier status, channel preference and consent state.
Guardrails
judge review of every unprompted send, coordination with the marketing calendar so the agent and existing CRM blasts never collide on the same customer, frequency caps, opt-out honored across all channels.
Metrics it moves
- conversion-rateup, a relevant offer delivered as a conversation at a personal moment converts where a blast gets archived.
- arpuup, lifecycle moments add purchases that no funnel was going to produce.
- open-rateup, "it's your birthday, pick a gift" earns the tap that a generic promo doesn't.
