Non-scale-win progress logging and celebration
When the scale stalls, the agent reminds the patient of everything else that has changed — the energy, the sleep, the clothes that finally fit.
What it does
On a GLP-1, the scale is a cruel measure of progress: it moves fast, then stalls for weeks, and a patient watching only that number concludes the program has stopped working right when it hasn't. Meanwhile the real wins — more energy, better sleep, looser clothes, quieter cravings — go unrecorded and unfelt. The agent logs weight alongside these non-scale wins across the treatment journey and celebrates milestones and check-ins, so motivation survives the plateaus the medication inevitably produces. This is the engagement primitive the plateau and maintenance saves lean on, framed against the medication journey rather than a generic habit streak.
How it works
- 1Trigger. the patient logs a win or a weigh-in, a milestone is reached, or a scheduled check-in comes due — and the agent notices when the scale has been flat while other markers have moved.
- 2Decision. the agent reads the patient's memory — treatment stage, logged wins, what they care about most — and picks the right reflection: a milestone celebration, a non-scale-win prompt, or a plateau reframe that points at the progress the scale is hiding.
- 3Action. the touch lands on push, in-app, chat, or WhatsApp — celebrating a logged win, inviting one when the patient is quiet, or gently shifting the focus off the scale during a stall.
- 4Follow-through. wins are written back to a progress record the patient can see and the program can act on; a stall paired with a worry about the medication routes into the plateau or clinician path; impact is measured against a holdout.
Configuration
How the agent is wired for this use case.
checkin_due event from the app backend; a flat-weight-with-other-progress pattern detected against the patient's own history- App backend · read weigh-ins, logged wins, treatment stage, and milestone state
- Patient memory store · read what the patient values and prior wins; write new non-scale wins back to a visible progress record
- Messaging channel · send the judged celebration, win-prompt, or plateau-reframe touch on push, in-app, chat, or WhatsApp
- Plateau/retention path · hand a stall-plus-worry signal to the plateau coaching or clinician route
What you need
The inputs this use case runs on. Your channels stay yours; the agent supplies the judgment.
Signals
win-logged and weigh-in events, milestone events, checkin_due, flat-weight detection against the patient's history
Data
treatment stage, weight and non-scale-win history, what the patient values, messaging consent
Guardrails
judge gating on every unprompted send; celebration and reframe only, never clinical interpretation or dose advice; clinical worries route out to a clinician; frequency caps; holdout measurement so claimed retention is proven
Metrics it moves
- adherenceup, because progress the patient can feel keeps them on protocol through the flat weeks
- churndown, by defusing the plateau despair that drives patients to quit a working program
- dau-mauup, as the logging-and-celebration loop gives the patient a reason to return between doses
- ltvup, with each plateau survived carrying the patient further into a high-CAC medication program
